Chávez, comisionado por la Secretaría de Fomento “para preparar el contingente mexicano en materia de bellas artes, educación y economía social”, que acudirá a la Exposición Internacional Pacífico-Panameña, por celebrarse en San Francisco, California; en el rubro de bibliotecas (a cargo de Antonio Caso y Pedro Henríquez Ureña) se propone “dar idea de las más importantes que en nuestra República existen”, y al efecto se solicita un informe actualizado sobre la de Jurisprudencia.
